Overseas Weddings

Having your wedding overseas is not as difficult as you may think.  There are many experienced wedding co-ordinators in popular resorts and hotels and specialist tour operators that can take the headache away for you!  An an independant travel advisor, I can search the world for the perfect wedding location for you.  Most popular are tropical beach weddings but if you prefer to get married on an African Safari, or in a romantic Italian city or on top of a waterfall, that’s fine too! Cyprus has some gorgeous luxury hotels which offer wedding ceremonies in the romantic historic surroundings of Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love.  If you are planning a winter wedding and want a true ‘white wedding’ head to somewhere like Lapland or snow and Ice Hotels for something truly different.  If you want to elope to the whacky world of Las Vegas there are plenty of wedding chapels on offer there!

There are different legal requirements in different countries, some you need to be in country for a few days before the ceremony, some that have local regulations you must adhere to, but I can find out all the necessary details for you and you can simply supply the paperwork needed and we’ll take care of it all!  Most hotels or operators will quote you for a ‘wedding package’, which normally includes the ceremony, bride’s bouquet and groom’s buttonhole, the wedding cake and room upgrades.

Expect a simple ceremony – most registrars are happy to include a reading that is special to you, but the ceremony will be quick and informal.  Buy simple clothing in cool, natural fabrics if you are getting married in a hot tropical location!  Lots of special touches can be added to personalise your wedding, just let us know and the local weddings teams on the ground will always go the extra mile to helping make your dream day perfect.
